How we’re protecting our customers during the Covid-19 outbreak

Extraordinary times that we’re living in.

Needless to say, Covid-19 is at the front of all of our minds. Here at Orchard, we’ve taken a number of precautions to protect our customers and our team. We wanted to take a moment to detail them.

First, we have stopped welcoming walk-in customers to our location in Toronto and our team is working from home, with the exception of the shipping staff.

For those staff, we have implemented extensive measures to minimize their exposure, including carpooling (to avoid public transit) as well as lots and lots of hand washing and Lysol wipes.

When it comes to the phones themselves, we are taking the following precautions:

  1. The outside of all packages that arrive at Orchard are immediately wiped down with Lysol disinfecting wipes (government recommended for use against Covid-19).
  2. As each package is opened, the contents and the inside of the package itself are again wiped down with Lysol wipes.
  3. Before each phone is shipped, we completely disinfect it again with Lysol wipes before packing.

We’re confident that these safeguards minimize the risk to our customers. As an additional precaution, we recommend disinfecting all packages when they arrive to safeguard against (the very low possibility of) contamination while in transit.
